Measuring for Bangle Bracelets

Bracelet fit is important for comfort and style. A loose bangle can fall  off and be lost. To be  sure your bangle bracelet fits comfortable and just right please follow chart on how to measure for bangles. Using a tape measure or a piece of string, measure around the widest part of knuckles cupping hand like shown in pic. The inches you measured, would be your ideal size. If you would like a little looser, size up by half a size.

There are other methods to measure for a bangle bracelet, depending on whether you have an existing bangle or not. Here are some steps you can follow:

If you have a bangle that fits you well, you can measure the interior diameter of the bangle in millimeters (mm) and use the chart below to find your bangle size

  • X-Small     57
  • Small  60
  • Medium  65
  • Large  68
  • X-Large  70
  • XX-Large  73

If you don’t have a bangle, you can measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point, where you would normally slide on a bangle. To do this, you need to close your fingers together and bring your thumb and little finger together, as if you were putting on a bangle. Then, wrap a flexible measuring tape, a strip of paper or a string around your hand and mark the size. Measure the length in centimeters or inches and use the chart below to find your bangle size

Circumference (cm) Circumference (in)

17.8                   7

19                   7.5

20.2                   8

21.4                   8.5

22.6                   9

Please keep in mind that bangles are soldered right around and there is no opening with a clasp or hinge. They must be slipped on over the hand to lay at the wrist area.

I hope this helps you find the right bangle bracelet for you or someone else.

Link Bracelets

Step 1:  Measure your wrist just below the wrist bone, where you  would normally wear a bracelet, with a flexible measuring tape or a  strip of paper.

Step 2: If you are using a plain strip of paper, then measure that paper strip with a ruler to determine your wrist size.  Add 1/4 inch to 1 inch (average is 1/2 inch) to your  wrist size, depending on whether you would like a snug, comfort, or  loose fit. This is the ideal bracelet length for you.
